Since its creation in 2005 YouTube has become an overwhelmingly popular platform. Overall, the platform holds millions upon millions of videos, and allows anyone to create videos themselves. The possibilities are endless on YouTube, and with that YouTube has been the birth of a number of different influencers. Today, I'm going to be looking a the different types of YouTubers and the influence they create.

Up first are the YouTube family vloggers. These individuals create vlogs, or video blogs, documenting their life and their children. They show just about everything, from what they're eating for dinner, to the clothes they buy the kids, to toys the kids like. This opens up so many doors for brand deals and endorsements. Critiques of these types of influencers point out how it may be unhealthy to have a video camera documenting everything the kids do. Others think its just like making home videos, but rather sharing it with the world.

Next up are YouTube's beauty influencers. These type of influencers create content surrounding makeup and beauty. They may do makeup tutorials or transformations, product recommendations, or 'hauls' of new products. These influencers often talk about their favorite beauty and makeup products. They have opportunity for sponsored posts where they share their opinion on makeup products as well. These types of YouTubers may get critiqued for being apart of drama, however, they are some of the most popular videos on YouTube.

Lastly, an even more specific genre of YouTube influencers are the youngest one. Many young children have become popular on YouTube for doing things such as toy reviews. These children often get sent free toys by brands, or are sponsored by brands to review their products. Of course, these types of influencers get critique as well, because people often wonder if it's healthy for children to be essentially working a job by making product reviews, however, parents of the children often remark that the children love to do so because it doesn't feel like work and more so like playing or practicing a hobby.
These are just a few types of influencers on YouTube, and as you can see they have great influence over their audiences with some subscribers ranging into the millions. For brands, developing relationships with these influencers is important because they are a key into reaching a whole niche of your potential market. There are also so many different types of influencers that many different industries could find influencers to work with, and thus integrate them into their social media strategy.
